So much for which to be thankful

Last night at 2 AM we woke up to flashing lights in our bedroom. Mike was already out of bed when I woke up and before long we were both gawking out the window. There were too many emergency vehicles to count just a little north of our neighborhood. As our eyes adjusted to the flashing light in the darkness we quickly realized that there were flames leaping from a house nearby. We could very clearly hear the fireman calling out commands on their radios and we immediately started praying that everyone would be okay. As the next hour unfolded we could tell that things were under control. Between yesterday being Thanksgiving and witnessing something as awful as we did I am thinking through how much we have to be grateful for. We're thankful for our own little family that brings us so much joy (most of the time:). Our warm house that usually has a good amount of food in it. Family and friends who love and care deeply for us. We're thankful today and always for the blessings God has placed in our lives! Of course, I can't leave you without a few pictures!

Great looking pictures; especially the one with grandpa (and with big bro!).
